I purchased these 21-inch traffic wands as an upgrade from a previous 16-inch set and the difference in visibility is noticeable. I mainly use them for occasional night work directing traffic, sometimes for about four hours at a time, and the extra length clearly helps drivers see me sooner. Each wand uses two C-size batteries, which are not included, and I usually remove the batteries when the wands are not used for long periods. The set includes two flashlights that can be used on their own, powered either by the included 18650 batteries with an adapter or by three AAA batteries using the supplied battery cage. These fit the spokes on my 2024 KLX230S almost perfectly, with only a few spots where a small amount of metal was still visible because the spokes were slightly wider. The overall length of the protectors was more than sufficient, so I needed to trim every piece to size during installation. After noticing that all the cutoffs were the same length, I pre-cut a batch to the exact size I needed. I used one cutoff as a template, lined it up with the rest, and trimmed them all at once with a single cut. This simple approach saved me a lot of time and made the installation process much easier. Once installed, they fit securely and looked clean and consistent on the wheel
